Destin History and Fishing Museum

swimming in the Gulf with their award-winning displays of fish caught right here in Destin! You can view a large collection of antique fishing rods and reels, the most unique of which belonged to Ernest Hemingway. You can also experience what life was like before electricity in the 1930s and visit the original Destin Post Office building located adjacent to the property. They also have the oldest seine fishing boat still in existence, The Primrose, on display as well as vintage photographs of early Destin settlers, boat captains and their boats, beach scenes, businesses and much more.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
