Rental Policies and Conditions
1. Check-in Time: Check-in time is after 4:00 P.M. CST. In some instances, access to your unit may be unavoidably delayed due to cleaning or maintenance issues. There will be no discounts offered due to a late check-in.
2. Advanced Reservation Payment: Full payment is required at time of booking to confirm your reservation. Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Once payment is received, your rate is locked. Reservations made under false pretenses of any kind will result in the forfeiture of all rental payments and eviction.
3. Rent and Taxes: Currently 12% Walton County. Rates advertised do not include taxes. Rates are locked once full payment is received.

Less than 30 days before check-in: No refund. All payments are forfeited.
A ninety (90) day cancellation is required for monthly rentals. Reservations cancelled within the applicable window will forfeit all rental payments.
5. Check-out Time: Check-out time is no later than 10:00 A.M. CST.
6. Pets: A maximum of two trained, mature pets (not to exceed 50lbs. each) are permitted with prior approval. $175.00 per pet non-refundable fee required for pets stay and additional deposits may be required. Pet owners will be financially responsible for any damages and extra cleaning.
7. Advance Reservations: We accept reservations up to one year in advance. We can confirm reservations for a future date, but we cannot confirm or guarantee rates for dates beyond the current published rental rates.
8. Minimum Stay: During peak season a one-week minimum stay is required (Saturday arrival and Saturday departure). During off-peak season a minimum of 3 to 5 nights may be available. Please inquire for availability.
9. Maid Service Fee: All rentals will be charged a maid service fee of $400.00.
10. Severe Weather: We do not refund rents or deposits lost due to canceled or shortened stays because of weather. Departures due to inclement weather do not warrant refund of rent or deposit. HURRICANE POLICY: We will only refund unused days in the event of a MANDATORY evacuation in our area.
11. Property Damage Insurance: Housekeeping will complete a walk-through after your checkout, and note clearly any evidence of damage. If damage is noted, you will be charged against your damage insurance policy purchased at the time of booking your rental.
12. No Smoking: If cigarette butts are found on the property and if there is evidence of smoking inside the house and on the grounds of the property you will be charged against your damage insurance policy purchased at time of booking your rental. In addition you will be charged for any damage and deodorize and/or clean of the carpet, furniture, etc.
13. Maximum Number of Guests: The allowable occupancy for the rental property is based on the following sleeping arrangements: 2 persons per bedroom; 1 parent or guardian per 2 persons under the age of 25. Guests who exceed the maximum occupancy are subject to immediate eviction and forfeiture of all rental payments. Additional guests beyond the stated maximum will be charged $100.00 per person per stay plus applicable taxes.
14. Family Rentals Only! Our vacation rental accommodates family rentals ONLY. NO units will be rented to vacationing students or young adults (under 25) unaccompanied by a responsible parent or guardian. A PARENT MUST BE STAYING IN THE UNIT AT ALL TIMES. ALL VIOLATORS WILL BE EVICTED AND ALL RENTAL PAYMENTS AND/OR SECURITY DEPOSITS WILL BE FORFEITED. We require one parent or guardian for every two persons under the age of 25.
15. No Subletting: The rental property may not be sublet. Your reservation is not transferable to any other party.
16. Rates: Published rental rates are subject to change without notice. Rates are locked in once full payment is received.

17. Payment of Rent: Rental charges are payable in full at time of booking. Your reservation is not confirmed until full payment is received.
18. Key Policy: Keys to the rental unit, gate key and Garage Opener and Golf Cart key (if rented) must be returned to the key rack in the house at check-out. Any lost key will result in a re-keying and/or replacement charge. A lock out fee of $100.00 will be charged to you.
19. Housekeeping: The property will be stocked with an initial supply of trash liners, toilet paper, paper towel, bath soap and dishwasher soap. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS! We do not permit towels, sheets, blankets, or furniture to be removed from the property.
20. No Underage Drinking: If we are made aware of underage drinking, we will be forced to evict the group from the premises. Both your security deposit and rent will be forfeited.
21. Maintenance Problems: During your stay, promptly report any maintenance problems. Please do not leave doors or windows open while the A/C or heaters are operating.
22. Security of Personal Property: Owner is not responsible for any acts of theft or vandalism, or other damages to any personal property or for personal items left by guest in the accommodation at departure.
23. Owner's Property: We respectfully request that you remember you are staying in someone's home during your vacation. Please treat it with care and leave it in good condition at checkout.
24. Property Rules and Regulations: Please observe all rules and regulations governing the use of the property you are occupying. These rules apply to both renters and guests, and failure to comply can result in eviction. No refunds warranted for evictions.
25. Quiet Hours: No loud noise after 10:00pm and/or before 8:00am.
26. Early Check-in / Late Check-out: Early check-in before 4:00 PM and late check-out after 10:00 AM are subject to availability and an additional fee as agreed upon at time of request. Unauthorized early check-in or late check-out will result in an additional charge.
Parking: Parking is for 2 cars only on the driveway. Garage parking is not allowed. No overnight street parking between 11 PM and 7 AM.
28. Recommended Travel Insurance: Due to our strict cancellation policy, we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance prior to their stay. Travel insurance can protect you against unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, or family emergencies. DestinViews is not responsible for any losses incurred due to trip cancellation.
29. Primary Renter Age Requirement: The primary renter who signs this agreement must be a minimum of 25 years of age and must be present and staying at the property for the entire duration of the rental period. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required upon request.
30. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for each property is as follows: Sandcastle โ 8 guests; Starfish Cottage โ 8 guests; Mermaid House โ 8 guests. Occupancy limits include all adults, children, and infants. Any violation will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
31. Right of Entry: Owner and/or authorized management reserve the right to enter the property at any time in the event of an emergency. For non-emergency maintenance, reasonable notice will be provided. Entry may be made without notice if a violation of this agreement is suspected.
32. No Parties or Events: The property is for family vacation use only. No parties, events, weddings, receptions, or gatherings beyond the stated maximum occupancy are permitted. Violation results in immediate eviction, forfeiture of all payments, and may result in additional damage charges.
33. Photography & Commercial Use: The property may not be used for commercial photography, videography, or film production without prior written consent from the owner. Personal family photography is permitted. Guests agree not to post property images on commercial platforms in a manner that misrepresents the property.
Pool or Spa Disclaimer and Release of Liability
The undersigned acknowledges that if the property being rented has an in-ground swimming pool or Spa, it may cause an inherent risk to Renter and any occupants or other guests, including children. The Renter hereby accepts the risk of the pool or spa and specifically agrees that no minor children shall swim in the pool or spa without continuous supervision. Minor children are defined as children under the age of 18 years.
The Renter hereby assumes full control, and full responsibility for the use of the in-ground swimming pool or spa during the rental period. The owner or any of his/her agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident or delay which may be suffered by the Renter, Renter's family, children, guests, invitees or licensees.
Renters are not to tamper or adjust pool or heater equipment. Pool heat is not guaranteed due to frequent mechanical breakdown. All children under the age of three (3) must wear a swim diaper and rubber pants when using the swimming pool.
WiFi Terms of Use
Wireless internet access is provided free of charge. Access may be blocked, suspended, or terminated at any time for any reason including violation of this Agreement or applicable laws. The Service is intended for guest use only and must not be used for commercial activity. You must not use the Service to access illegal content, distribute viruses, or engage in criminal activity.
The owner is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the property owner from any claim arising out of your use of the Service.
